About the ARtist
Born in the midwest rust belt the year Russia launched Sputnik into space. Raised in a traditional Catholic East European/Italian household. During this time lost all faith and interest in organized religion and discovered that mankind is a frightened animal whose greatest fear is that the rest of his circle will discover the truth about them.

Moved to Phoenix, AZ in the beginning of the 70’s. This was the decade of massive changes for both the country and the artist. In ’75 graduated from high school. In ’77 applied to Art Schools. Was accepted into The Cleveland Institute of Art. In the fall of ’77 relocated to Papua, New Guinea. Spent ten months there working heavy construction and on drawing. Studied the indigenous people there. In May left New Guinea to head back to the US and made many stops along the way to study the culture and art of various places including Tokyo, Manila, Mumbai, Cairo, Athens, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Boston, New York, and then to Cleveland. Spent six years there; five being educated about Art technique and one recovering. Then an ill-fated three years in Boston. Then North Carolina. Founded Ursus Studio. Spent 35 years there. Doctor advised a drier environment so presently in New Mexico to finish unfinished work and eventually abandon this mortal coil.
